The MIK THERMO E in XXL format

Peak values for energy efficiency and thermal homogeneity

MIK INTERNATIONAL AG presents the THERMO E in the sizes 500 x 1200 mm and 600 x 1200 mm right on time for EuroTier 2010. An electric heating panel for pig breeding is now available that offers comparable performance figures of the highest standard when set against the warm water version that is already on the market. Excellent thermal homogeneity on the panel surface, optimised energy efficiency and maximum ease of installation are now combined with the comfort of electrical heat generation for the very first time.
The heat distribution on the panel surface of both sizes gives 100% in the beneficial range in compliance with the DLG classification (37°C - 43°C). The proportional area offering optimum temperatures as stipulated in the DLG classification (39°C - 41°C) lies at 90% for the THERMO E 500x1200 and 82% for the THERMO E 600x1200. All this makes the THERMO E the trendsetter in XXL format!

The THERMO E 500x1200 consumes just 169 Wh/panel (300 Wh/m²) at a surface temperature of 40°C and an ambient temperature of 20°C. The power consumption of the THERMO E 600x1200 is 208 Wh/panel (289 Wh/m²) under the same conditions.

The user no longer needs to install expensive heating systems. The time and expense of laying piping also belong to the past, with power being supplied using a simple cable installation. This means that the new THERMO E opens up possibilities for creating the best conditions for optimum piglet growth, particularly for small-scale operators. Not only is the system suitable for utilising regenerative energy, for instance photovoltaic or biogas systems, but it can also be installed wherever a warm water system does not come into question due to poor water quality that would damage the system.

In response to requests frequently expressed by our customers, the profile from the proven THERMO E 400 x 600 has been modernised and incorporated in the panels. Offering the highest degree of lying comfort in conjunction with its superior non-slip characteristics, it guarantees excellent animal welfare.
The enclosed construction with its concave surface, all-round drip edge and fully integrated insulation already familiar from the THERMO W in XXL format is beneficial to optimum hygiene conditions in pig pens.
The low specific power consumption, which in addition to the excellent thermal homogeneity has also been confirmed by TÜV SÜD, makes the THERMO E a cutting-edge product from an economic and ecological point of view.
